The estimator stays on your device

The vehicle, glass, ADAS, and ZIP selections you make in the calculator are processed entirely by JavaScript running in your own browser. Nothing you type into those fields is sent to us, logged on a server, or stored anywhere once you close the tab. If you copy the permalink to share an estimate, the values live in the link itself, not in any database we control.

What the contact form sends us

Submitting the form on the contact page sends your name, email address, and message to our inbox through a third-party form-delivery service. We use that information only to reply to you. We do not add contact-form senders to a marketing list, and we do not sell or rent that information to anyone.

Cookies, ads, and the consent banner

A banner appears on your first visit asking whether to allow advertising and analytics cookies. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites, once you accept. Rejecting the banner limits ad personalization but does not stop the page from loading. How we use analytics

We run Google Analytics to see which guides get read and which do not, so we know where to spend editorial time. Analytics data is aggregated: page views, time on page, and general device type, not anything tied back to a specific visitor by name. A browser add-on from Google lets you opt out of Analytics tracking sitewide if you would rather not be counted at all.

Your rights, depending on where you live

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland get a consent prompt before any non-essential cookie is set, and can withdraw that consent at any time by clearing cookies and revisiting the banner. California and a growing list of other states give residents the right to ask what personal information we hold, request a correction, or request deletion. Send any of those requests through the contact page and expect a response within a few business days.

Who else sees this data

Beyond the ad and analytics vendors named above, the only other party that touches contact-form submissions is the form-delivery provider that routes them to our inbox. Nobody else gets a copy. We keep contact-form messages only as long as it takes to resolve whatever you wrote in, then let them age out of the inbox.

This site is not for children

Windshield Replacement Cost is written for adult drivers and vehicle owners. It is not directed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from a visitor in that age group.

If this policy changes

Any future update to this page will carry a new "last reviewed" date at the top. Material changes, the kind that affect what we collect or how we use it, get called out on the contact page as well, not just buried in a date stamp.
